Interreg project Building with Nature wins international video competition
The Interreg NSR project 'Building with Nature' submitted a short video for the video competition of the Interreg North Sea Region Programme. From ten entries this video was chosen as the winner. Sarieke Wolthers and Priscilla Kramer of Rijkswaterstaat received an award on behalf of the Building with Nature project on June 13th during the North Sea conference in Norwegian Fredrikstad.
The winner was chosen by fourteen judges, two from each of the seven North Sea countries. Priscilla and Sarieke received the award and the winning video was shown to an audience of 300 guests during the opening of the North Sea conference.
The video from Building with Nature has won because of the attractive storyline, which shows how we can protect countries in the North Sea region from climate change by working together with nature. The video uses a sand animation to visualize the story.
Building with nature
The 'Building with Nature' project shows how the North Sea region can work on climate resilience with natural structures, such as sand and natural vegetation. The Common Wadden Sea Secretariat is involved as a partner in the Building with Nature project.
