A conservation success story: 30 years of the Wadden Sea Seal Agreement – a milestone for the remarkable recovery of the Wadden Sea harbour seal population

30 years ago the Wadden Sea Seal Agreement entered into force and became the first international, legally binding agreement under the auspices of the UN Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals.

During two weekends in September, the first ever East Atlantic Flyway Youth Forum took place. 79 enthusiastic young conservationists from 34 countries had signed up for the event to discuss the role and importance of youth engagement in flyway conservation.
