World Heritage Birthday Events in Lower Saxony

On 26 June, the Wadden Sea celebrates the anniversary of its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. The Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park Authority, together with certified national park guides, invites the inhabitants of the coastal districts to take part in a free mudflat hike from 26 to 30 June, because local people have a key role to play in preserving the World Heritage Site for future generations.
