The annual World Heritage Day in Germany was moved to an online platform, where the Wadden Sea and other sites can be explored virtually.

On 21 to 22 April 2020, the project partners held six intense sessions on the current status of the project and its activities.

The project partners of the German-Dutch funding project INTERREG V A "Wadden Agenda 2.0" published the game app "Wadden Games".

On 10 and 11 March 2020, three representatives from the Swedish-Finnish World Heritage site “High Coast and Kvarken Archipelago” visited the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS).

On November 22 the Frysk-Dutch show Kanoet, which from now on goes through life as red knot, premiered in a German edition at the Oberschule primary school in Bunde in Germany.

As the Wadden Sea World Heritage is one ecosystem shared by three countries, Entrepreneurs, destination marketing organisations and local government also share the same challenges.

From 4 to 9 September, the Wadden Sea World Heritage was represented at the 4th World Heritage Marine Managers Conference in Glacier Bay, Alaska, USA.
