9 April 1990 was the founding day of the smallest of the three German Wadden Sea National Parks, the “Nationalpark Hamburgisches Wattenmeer”.

In the framework of the Swimway Vision and Action Programme, the ad-hoc Working Group SWIMWAY and CWSS have now published an overview of existing programmes.

The 2020 spring count of moulting grey seals in the Wadden Sea shows an increase of numbers in comparison to the previous year.

Due to the pandemic, the meeting planned in Esbjerg (Denmark) had to be moved online with members joining from their offices and homes.

On 10 and 11 March 2020, three representatives from the Swedish-Finnish World Heritage site “High Coast and Kvarken Archipelago” visited the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS).
