A new comprehensive report has been published assessing capacity for waterbird monitoring along the African part of the East Atlantic Flyway and proposing a framework for strengthening and sustaining this capacity for the future. 

New national research into the awareness of UNESCO World Heritage shows that once again the Wadden Sea is the best-known World Heritage Site in the Netherlands.

The event aimed to support long-term scientific capacity along the flyway and explore how academic collaboration could be strengthened.

From 5–7 November, educators and interpreters from across the Wadden Sea gathered in Denmark for the annual IWSS workshop.

From 18 to 29 September, the 2025 edition of the trilateral summer school immersed in the unique landscape of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site.

Sixteen Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students from the Wadden Sea region and beyond have embarked on a ten-day journey to explore one of the world’s most unique coastal ecosystems.

This October, emerging environmental leaders from across the East Atlantic Flyway will come together for the 4th East Atlantic Flyway Youth Forum (EAFYF).
