Practical announcement for the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation regarding COVID-19

For the attention of all involved in the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation.

Please find below a message from Karin Lochte, Chair of the Wadden Sea Board, and Bernard Baerends, CWSS Executive Secretary, on COVID-19 practical arrangements in the framework of the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation (TWSC). Last updated: 20 May 2020.

In the light of the rapidly changing situation of the COVID-19 virus outbreak and the different measures the states are taking, we would like to inform you about practical arrangements for upcoming TWSC meetings.

In principle, until lifting of restrictions group meetings will either be held remotely via phone or video conferences , via written procedures or – if online meetings are not a viable substitute - postponed.

CWSS will keep the website's TWSC event calendar (log-in required) up to date and add logistic information to each upcoming meeting as soon as possible. Additionally, the chairs and secretaries will inform their group members of any changes via e-mail.

In close contact with the chairs of the different groups, CWSS will also inform you if some of the group work will be undertaken via written procedures or has to be postponed.

The WSB meeting in June (WSB 31) will not be held in Esbjerg, Denmark. A substitute online meeting is being prepared.

We hope that with these adaptations we still can move ahead with our agenda and ask for your flexibility and understanding.

We also hope for you stay healthy and safe and send you our best wishes,

Karin Lochte and Bernard Baerends
