Wadden Sea Day 2026

The Wadden Sea Day 2026, titled "On the importance of area-based protection for the comprehensive conservation of the Wadden Sea: present and future role of protected areas", reflects on over a century of conservation efforts, drawing out key successes and lessons learned to inform a clear and strategic vision for the future of effective and resilient Wadden Sea conservation.

We warmly welcome practitioners, scientists, policy-makers, nature conservation managers and non-governmental organisations active in this field. The event is open to the professional public and free of charge.
