Common Wadden Sea Secretariat welcomes new team members

With the recent launch of the project “Climate-resilient East Atlantic Flyway” (CREAF), the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS) gained two new members to the team: Ecologist Rebecca Stewart has taken over the lead of the project, after having had supported the application process in the last two years. She will be responsible for the day to day running of the project and reporting. Rebecca has a PhD in freshwater food web ecology and later moved into managing research and conservation projects.
Communications expert Elvis Lyonga Edimo has taken over project communications. He will focus on stakeholder engagement across partner countries, regional coordination, and amplifying the project’s visibility. Elvis studied Journalism and Mass Communication and has worked with the United Nations and World Resources Institute on environmental policy, public outreach, and climate resilience.
CWSS also welcomes Monika Radominska. The environmental scientist is taking over the issues climate change, swimway, and ecosystem, while Julia Busch is on parental leave. She is also CWSS’s new contact point for the Interreg projects MANABAS COAST and DARKER SKY. Monika studied Environmental Science in Denmark, focusing on Marine and Aquatic Biology and gained professional experience working as a researcher for Leibniz Institute for Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries in Berlin.
All contact details can be viewed in our staff overview.
The CWSS team welcomes Rebecca, Elvis, and Monika and wishes them a great start!
